SMS messaging policy

This page explains how Vent Pro NYC uses text messaging (SMS), how customers opt in, what messages they’ll receive, and how to stop receiving messages. It applies to all SMS sent from our Twilio-provisioned number to customers in the United States.

Messages are sent by Vent Pro NYC (vent pro nyc inc.), a dryer-vent cleaning business serving Brooklyn, NYC, and the surrounding area. Our phone is (718) 541-5567, our email is info@ventpro.nyc, and our website is https://www.ventpro.nyc.

How customers opt in

Customers consent to receive SMS from Vent Pro NYC in one of three ways:

  1. Online booking form. When a customer books at www.ventpro.nyc/book, they must affirmatively check an SMS-consent checkbox labeled “Text me about this booking”. The form cannot be submitted unless this box is checked. The full disclosure shown next to the checkbox reads:
    I agree to receive SMS from Vent Pro NYC at the phone number above — including booking confirmations, appointment reminders, technician-on-the-way alerts, post-service follow-ups, and an annual cleaning reminder. Approximately 3–5 messages per booking plus one annual reminder. Message & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for help.
  2. Phone request. When a customer calls (718) 541-5567to schedule service, our team reads the same disclosure and asks for explicit verbal consent before adding the customer’s number to our SMS contact list.
  3. In-person request. When a customer requests service in person, they consent verbally at the time of scheduling, with the same disclosure read aloud.

We do not import phone numbers from third parties, purchased lists, or scraped data sources. Every number on our SMS list consented through one of the three channels above.

What messages customers receive

We do not send marketing or promotional broadcasts. Every message is tied to a specific service relationship with the customer.

Message frequency

Approximately 3–5 messages per booking (over the lifetime of that booking, from confirmation through follow-up), plus one annual reminder per customer.

Message and data rates

Message and data rates may apply from your wireless carrier. Vent Pro NYC does not charge customers for text messages.

How to get HELP

Reply HELP (or INFO) to any message and we’ll auto-reply with help instructions and our contact info. You can also call us at (718) 541-5567 or email info@ventpro.nyc.

How to STOP receiving messages

Reply STOP (or any of OPTOUT, CANCEL, END, QUIT, UNSUBSCRIBE, REVOKE, STOPALL) to any message. We’ll immediately remove your number from our SMS list and confirm with a single opt-out acknowledgement:

You have successfully been unsubscribed. You will not receive any more messages from this number. Reply START to resubscribe.

Opting out of text messages will not affect our ability to deliver scheduled service — we’ll just contact you by phone or email instead.

Privacy & data sharing

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All categories of information are restricted from being sold or shared with third parties for their independent marketing purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors who support our services (for example, our SMS provider Twilio) is permitted only as necessary to deliver the message you requested or that is required by our service relationship.
