Dryer vent cleaning in your neighborhood

Every neighborhood’s homes hide the vent differently. Pick yours for local details — or just book; we cover all of Brooklyn.

Why Brooklyn vents clog

Old buildings, long runs, and a lot of laundry.

Most Brooklyn homes weren't built with a dryer in mind. The vent was added later — snaking through closets, up chases and out to a roof or wall cap — and every bend is a place for lint to pack.

Hidden buildup
What a long Brooklyn vent run collects in a year.

  • Take the #1 dryer-fire cause off the table

Failure to clean is the leading cause of home dryer fires. In attached row houses and apartment buildings, a fire doesn't stay in one home.

  • Get normal drying times back

A choked vent traps moisture, so one load takes two or three cycles. Clearing the full run lets the dryer finish the way it was designed to.

  • Stop paying for extra cycles

Every extra cycle is electricity or gas you're paying for. A clear vent is one of the cheapest efficiency fixes in the house.

  • Add years to the machine

Restricted airflow makes the heating element and motor work overtime. A clean vent is the cheapest extended warranty a dryer can get.

How a Brooklyn visit works

One visit. Four steps. Most jobs under an hour.

We're based in Brooklyn, so most of the borough books same-week. We handle the whole vent line start to finish and leave the laundry room cleaner than we found it.

Every visit includes
  • HEPA-filtered vacuum extraction
  • Rotary brush, full vent run
  • Roof & wall-cap clearing
  • Before/after airflow report
  • Transition hose replaced if damaged
  • 14-day service guarantee in writing
  1. 01

    Inspection & airflow test

We measure dryer airflow and inspect the full run from the drum to the roof or wall cap. You see the baseline before we touch anything.

  2. 02

    Deep mechanical clean

A high-RPM rotary brush travels the full vent length while a HEPA vacuum captures the lint at the source.

  3. 03

    Cap, connection & hose check

We clear the exterior cap, check the connection, and replace a damaged or crushed transition hose behind the machine.

  4. 04

    Verification report

A second airflow reading proves the work. You keep a written before-and-after report.

Real photos, real jobs

This is what we pull out of a dryer vent.

No stock photos. Every one of these is from an actual dryer-vent cleaning in a Brooklyn or NYC home — the packed lint, the buildup behind the machine, the odd bird’s nest, and the piles we pulled out to the curb or cleared from the roof when that’s the only way in.

  • A dryer transition duct pulled out and completely clogged with packed lint
A duct choked solid with lint
  • A thick pile of lint pulled out of a wall dryer duct onto the floor behind the machine in a Brooklyn home
Pulled from the wall duct, behind the dryer
  • A bird's nest of grass and twigs pulled from a dryer vent line onto the floor behind the washer
A bird's nest pulled from the vent
  • Vent Pro NYC running a rotary brush on a drill into an exterior wall dryer vent, lint expelled onto the ground
Rotary brush clearing a wall vent
  • A large pile of lint removed from a single home's dryer vent line with the cleaning brush
Everything we pulled from one vent line
  • Vent Pro NYC clearing an exterior wall dryer vent with a vacuum, a pile of removed lint on the ground
    Clearing the exterior wall vent
  • Two exterior dryer vent covers on a brick wall with lint cleared onto the pavement below
Lint cleared from the exterior vents
  • A wide spread of grey lint removed from a dryer vent, with cleaning rods and brush on the pavement
One vent's worth of packed lint
  • A roof dryer vent cap on a Brooklyn brownstone with a large pile of lint cleaned out of the vent line beside it
The dryer was flashing a D80 code — this was why
  • The rooftop of a Brooklyn brownstone with a skylight and a roof dryer vent, cleared lint spread beside the vent
Roof-access cleanout on a brownstone by Prospect Park
  • Flexible cleaning rods and a vent brush laid on a brownstone roof beside lint pulled from the dryer vent line
Rods run from the roof down to the dryer
  • A clean roof dryer vent cap on a Brooklyn brownstone after cleaning, with rooftops and trees behind it
All clear — full airflow back at the roof cap

Every job ends the same way — the vent clear, the lint gone, and your dryer breathing again.

I knew something was up when my clothing was taking forever to dry but when the check vent light went on I knew it was a fire hazard. Eyal responded to my text in minutes, booked an appointment on the spot for the next day and showed up on time. He didn't mind that I was standing over to watch the whole process and boy was it satisfying. I couldn't believe the lint that was living in the dryer, behind the wall and at the exit vent on the side of my house. This is not the DIY job you think it is. well worth the visit!

  • Eli from Ventpro was not only knowledgeable but also extremely kind. As a woman at home with a small child I felt super safe with Eli which is always a concern with people coming to service the home. He did the job, cleaned up afterwards and also left me with some great tips for our washer even though he came to fix the dryer. Will have him come back again and again.

  • Amazing service and very friendly serviceman. Very fair price compared to other companies, he went above and beyond removing a bird's nest from our pipe (as shown in the photos) and didn't charge extra from the price I was told over the phone. He also answers text messages which is a bonus. He came to the rescue very quickly, and he also resolved the issue in no time. He informed me that the landlord should be responsible for the payment. Highly recommend!

  • My dryer was taking 90+ minutes to dry a load of clothing. I wasn't sure if I needed a new dryer or just a good cleaning. Eyal came, right away I might add, and said he would check first to see if it's working because he wouldn't charge me for cleaning a broken dryer. Once he confirmed that my dryer was fine he went in and did a thorough cleaning. I can't believe the lint that was coming out of my dryer! He did an excellent job and will definitely recommend him and use him again!

  • Eyal was very professional. Arrived with all necessary equipment about 15 mins earlier than appointment time. Did a very good job and cleaned out our dryer vents. He took the time to explain how to maintain it and also cleaned up by vacuuming the debris. Very pleasant person to deal with. I have already booked complete duct cleaning with his company.

About

The reason I started Vent Pro NYC was a fire.

A close friend lost half his home to a dryer fire that started in a vent nobody had thought twice about. He wasn't careless. The vent was simply hidden infrastructure — until it wasn't.

For the last decade I've built a cleaning process that proves itself with measurements, not promises. Every visit records your dryer's airflow before and after, right on your invoice.

Today Vent Pro NYC is family-owned and operated in the fullest sense — my son works alongside me, and the family that answers your call is the family that shows up at your door.

If you're reading this, you're already ahead of the curve. Most people only call after something goes wrong. Let's make sure that's not your story.
